Interview - ERM AUTOMATISMES
ERM AUTOMATISMES offers engineering solutions and services in four fields, including additive manufacturing through its ERM Fab&Test entity. Cyril Liotard, CEO of ERM AUTOMATISMES, tells us more about the added value of this French company, which exhibited at 3D PRINT Paris 2023 on October 11 and 12.
Hello Mr Liotard, can you tell us more about ERM Fab&Test’s core business?
ERM Fab&Test is a business unit of ERM Automatismes Industriels, a manufacturer of special-purpose machines since 1990, whose mission is to help manufacturers identify and implement the production solutions of tomorrow. ERM Fab&Test distributes digital manufacturing technologies (additive manufacturing, robotic solutions, machining, waterjet/laser cutting, 3D scanning, Industry 4.0) and provides customized support services.
Which markets are your solutions and services aimed at?
Our solutions and services are aimed at all types of sectors and markets for industry (Automotive, Aeronautics, Railway, Military…), but also more specific sectors such as Luxury, Jewelry, Events, Medical/Dental, Sport…

How can additive manufacturing help you meet your customers’ needs?
3D printing, or Additive Manufacturing in general, is a natural part of our development strategy, among other technologies. Firstly, it enables us to compare with our customers the different technologies available on the market (and that we can offer), but also to promote 3D printing for all the advantages we know it has today. Furthermore, we are particularly keen to support our customers in learning and training the “craft” know-how linked to the technology, so that they can see the process through to the end.
How does exhibiting at 3D PRINT benefit your company?
Exhibiting at 3D PRINT is a great opportunity for us to announce our new products to the industrial public. What’s more, it’s a perfect opportunity to meet French manufacturers at a major event for additive manufacturing in France. Finally, choosing the “right” trade show is crucial for us, and 3D PRINT enables us to meet a very high value-added audience and discuss large-scale industrial projects.
