Interview - HALBRONN

Interview - HALBRONN
Pierre Haentjens, Head of Additive Manufacturing at the HRT Group (HALBRONN, REPMO, TECHNI-CN), a leading supplier of industrial production solutions, answered our interview ahead of the 3D PRINT exhibition in October. He gives us a first overview of the innovations presented on their stand: among them, large metal parts and a high performance DLP platform.

Hello Pierre, the HRT Group is a recognised player in the industrial sector, particularly in additive manufacturing with HALBRONN. Can you tell us more about the Group and your position?

My name is Pierre Haentjens, I am 31 years old and I am the Additive Manufacturing Manager at HRT Group.
The HRT Group is the first independent group to provide industrial production solutions. Our strength is to create synergy between machining, robotics and additive manufacturing; complementary production technologies. HRT is a partner of two leaders in additive manufacturing in France: GE Additive for metal and Stratasys for polymer.
My role is to promote these technologies internally and with our customers, from a commercial, applications and after-sales service point of view.

“3D PRINT brings together manufacturers, distributors and users, which makes the exchanges very rich from all points of view,
both technical and business.

Why is it important for HALBRONN and the HRT Group to exhibit at 3D PRINT?

Over the years, 3D PRINT has become the most important trade show dedicated to additive manufacturing. It is a must-attend event for players in the sector, and the only show in France specialising in these technologies. It brings together manufacturers, distributors and users, which makes the exchanges very rich from every point of view, both technical and business.
Each edition is an opportunity to discover new application cases, and thus to develop our presence in new sectors of activity. Polyjet technology, for example, affects the design and fashion sectors, where we had little presence before. Additive manufacturing touches all industries, which is what makes it exciting.

What future developments in additive manufacturing will we see on your stand in October?

This year we will be showcasing very large metal parts made on GE Additive machines with up to 4 lasers, offering unprecedented productivity and repeatability. We will also be showcasing Origin One, Stratasys’ high-performance DLP platform that is revolutionising resin printing.
